These images were obtained using a
Celestron 8" NGT f/5 (C8 N)
and an unfiltered
Adirondak StellaCam II
at prime focus.
They were captured to a laptop using Astro-Snap
and stacked with Registax.
The images are mostly experiments as I become familiar with the StellaCam II and its various settings.
I recently installed a JMI Motofocus and most of the the pictures below were taken prior to that.
I've purchased an ATiK Color Filter Wheel and a .5 focal reducer but have not really used them much.
I've also started using a BlueStar adaptor which is working well
especially when combined with "GuideDog" by Steve Barkes - a piece of
software for autoguiding. It helps compensate for the lack of periodic error correction on the CG-5 mount.
GuideDog works real well and uses ASCOM drivers which I will eventually dabble with.
