Meteors and Meteor Showers An Amateur's Guide to Meteors - by Peter V. Bias This recently published book, Meteors and Meteor Showers, is a wonderful resource for learning about meteors, what they are, when to best view them and even how to take part in scientific observations! It is a compilation of more than 30 years of experience observing and studying meteors by the author Peter Bias and includes input from several of the world's most prominent meteor scientists as they discuss findings from the recent 1998 - 2002 Leonid meteor storms. A meteor is one of nature's most breathtaking views and can spark anyone's curiosity and imagination to no end. This book is written for everyone, covering all ranges of expertise from the complete novice to even the well seasoned meteor observer. If you are curious about meteors, you should certainly start with this book! Some of the images found within this site were included in the book which for me was quite a thrill! Thanks Peter!
